Principia Transitus

Pervasive has become the travails of force majeure these days,

Appealing to our dissociative senses to renounce the old ways -

How, then, do we obliterate baleful influences by nipping them in the bud?

When such deceptive allure drag many gullibles through treacherous mud?

Just like durable, sturdy steel is forged in the depths of searing flames,

Man’s endurance must be attuned to withstand society’s ravaging games - 

Emerge from the ravines of misery, teeming with unbridled resilience,

Intrepid to a fault, astounding vitriolic critics with immaculate transilience.

Enacting the hardest choices oft requires the strongest wills;

Arcane are the underlying secrets to surmount such vertiginous hills 

Of personal insecurities comingled with wavering self-esteem -

 When, inexorably, annihilating jolts of adversities reign supreme.

I’m, nonetheless, liveried in the hues of an ephemeral afterglow,

Drenched in the cosmic emanation, rekindling a bygone creed -

Fervent prayers of coy hope answered at an all-time low;

There’s always a silver lining to convolutions, I do finally concede.

Unlearning antediluvian principles has become the new norm,

It’s sapping, and yet, indispensable for instituting reform -

As the languor of a turbulent and unpalatable past ebbs away,

A brave new world inks the arrival of an exuberant day.

And yet, there’s some element in yesteryears to cling to;

A whisper of wistful nostalgia that the zephyrs still sing to.

Incorruptible ideals, shaped in our formative stages, can’t be relinquished - 

They are often key to unlocking milestones to be accomplished.

“Change is the only constant” - stands an oft-enunciated adage;

Does this, however, imply that we forsake our rich heritage

Just to acclimate to the sheer dynamism of such transitions?

Appealing to indulge contentious ideologies, spurning cherished traditions. 

Sometimes, it’s fate’s reckoning that stirs the tumultuous tides;

Othertimes, conscious endeavour enmeshed in ambivalence -

As long as the net performative delta produces positive strides,

We can combat any tribulations’ overwhelming prevalence.

’Tis Herculean to have to face the might of variabilities head on -

We aren’t innately born nonchalant and proficient; -

However daunting the pitch-black uncertainties may be preceding dawn,

Rise we shall, from the ashes of despondency, boisterously efficient.
