The most powerful contrivance in this world is time; It is that gambit which eludes our rationality, That incessant ocean which can yield bountiful resources which are prime, And which knows not the disparity on the basis of religion & nationality. Since primeval age, humans have led conquests for egotistic gain, Plundered, looted and mercilessly murdered so many innocuous men, Amidst all the animosity that was brewing at the cost of excruciating pain, Little did anyone realize that the sword wouldn't prove to be as mighty as a pen. Vicissitudes of fortune are one of its characteristic features, Which spices up our life which is otherwise tepid; Its remarkable unpredictability makes it difficult to discern by the self-proclaimed 'preachers'; And enthuses us to become intrepid. One can credit time for metamorphosing from rags to riches, Or can curse it for turnover of luck, The machinery for success may be hindered by the presence of glitches, But our grit can succor us in clearing our path of muck. Good times may give the feeling of mirth and joy, Bad times may result in an acute state of sadness; We've to convince ourselves that our life is nothing but a ploy To save ourselves from the verge of madness.
