The road ahead may be turbulent and pernicious,
And the journey may not be as alluring;
There’s some leap of faith that something propitious
Might be in store for us, possibly reassuring.
Yeah, it’s perfectly understandable for you to be glum,
Apprehensive of the ravages of an uncertain morrow,
It doesn’t imply that you’ve to incessantly stay mum -
Sharing thy feelings can alleviate thy pain of sorrow.
Heed not to whatever venom is spewed,
There’ll always be those who bear animosity -
Seeking to rake up an undesirable feud;
But there will be others who believe in generosity.
It’s well-known that Rome wasn’t built in a day -
The same goes for unwavering hopes and aspirations;
The horizon of unexplored opportunities grant you leeway
To be unrelenting and dauntless to surpass expectations.
